             ปักษาสวรรค์เป็นพืชที่มีความสวยงามมาก โดยเฉพาะดอกของมันดูแล้วคล้ายกับนกที่กำลังบินอยู่บนท้องฟ้าปักษาสวรรค์นี้เราจะปลูกไว้เพื่อชมดอกของมันโดยเฉพาะ ใบมีสีเขียวเข้ม ลักษณะรูปใข่ แต่ตอนปลายใบจะเรียวแหลมคล้ายกับหอก ใบยาวประมาณ 12-16 นิ้ว ตั้งอยู่บนก้านใบที่แข็งแรงยาวประมาณ 17-18 นิ้ว ปักษาสวรรค์จะเริ่มให้ดอกเมื่ออายุประมาณ 6 ปี นิยมปลูกเป็นกลุ่มตามสนามเพื่อให้ออกดอก ก่อให้เกิดความสดชื่นแก่ผู้พบเห็น
การดูแลรักษา
แสง    ต้องการแสงมากตลอดทั้งวัน
น้ำ       ต้องการน้ำในปริมาณที่พอเหมาะ
ดิน      เจริญเติบโตได้ดีในดินร่วนปนทรายที่มีการระบายน้ำดี
ปุ๋ย      ควรใส่ปุ๋ยคอกหรือปุ๋ยหมัก
การขยายพันธ์    โดยการแยกหน่อ เพาะเมล็ด
โรคและแมลง       ไม่ค่อยจะพบโรคที่เป็นอันตราย จะพบก็แต่แมลงพวกเพลี้ย
การป้องกันกำจัด  ควรใช้ยาดูดซึมพวกไซกอน อัตรา 20 กรัม ผสมน้ำ 20 ลิตร ราดรดให้ทั่วบริเวณต้นจะกำจัดเพลี้ยได้ดี
