ไม้สัก มีชื่อในภาษาอังกฤษว่า Teak และมีชื่อทางวิทยาศาสตร์ว่า Tectona grandis อยู่ในวงค์ Verbenaceae มีถิ่นกำเนิดอยู่ในตอนใต้ของประเทศอินเดีย พม่า ไทย อินโดนีเซีย และหมู่เกาะอินเดียตะวันออก
