ลักษณะทั่วไป
เป็นไม้ยืนต้นผลัดใบ สูง 5–10 เมตร แตกกิ่งต่ำ ตามลำต้นมีหนามยาว เปลือกสีเทา เรือนยอดค่อนข้างโปร่ง ใบเป็นใบประกอบแบบขนนก มีใบย่อย 3 ใบ ปลายใบแหลม โคนใบสอบ ดอกสีขาวอมเขียวหรือสีเหลืองอ่อน กลิ่นหอม ขนาดเล็ก ออกดอกช่วงเดือนมีนาคม-พฤษภาคม ผลเป็นรูปไข่แข็ง เนื้อสีเหลือง มียางเหนียว

Flesh yellow gum.
