ลักษณะทั่วไป
เป็นไม้เถาเนื้อแข็ง เลื้อยได้ไกลถึง 8 เมตร คล้ายรสสุคนธ์ขาวแต่มีกลีบเลี้ยงสีแดง ใบเป็นรูปรี รูปไข่กลับหรือขอบขนาน ขอบจักตื้น ผิวใบสาก สีเขียวอ่อน ดอกเป็นช่อที่ปลายกิ่งหรือซอกใบใกล้ปลายกิ่ง 3 - 8 ดอกมี 3 - 5 กลีบ สีขาวหรือขาวอมชมพู ดอกบานเกือบพร้อมกันทั้งช่อ ดอกบานเพียงวันเดียว ส่งกลิ่นหอมช่วงพลบค่ำจนถึงกลางวัน

ปลูกเป็นไม้กระถางได้ดีใช้ไม้ปักให้เลื้อยไต่พันเมื่อต้นโตใหญ่เหมาะปลูกประดับซุ้มเลื้อยเกี่ยวรั้วหรือตอไม้ในที่โล่งตัดแต่งกิ่งหรือช่อดอกเก่าทิ้งมิให้รกเกินไป จะมองดูสวยงามและเร่งให้ออกดอกชุดใหม่ได้เร็วขึ้น
