ลักษณะทั่วไป
เป็นไม้ยืนต้นผลัดใบ สูง 15–30 เมตร เปลือกสีน้ำตาลแก่แตกเป็นสะเก็ด เรือนยอดเป็นพุ่มกลมหรือรูปกรวยแหลม กิ่งอ่อนมีขนประปราย ใบเป็นใบเดี่ยวเรียงสลับ รูปไข่ ปลายเป็นติ่งทู่ โคนมน ดอกเล็ก สีขาวหรือขาวปนเหลืองอ่อน ออกเป็นช่อสั้น ๆ ตามง่ามใบและปลายกิ่ง ออกดอกระหว่างเดือนกันยายน-ธันวาคม

เจริญเติบโตได้ดีในสภาพดินแทบทุกชนิด ระบายน้ำได้ดี ต้องการความชื้นปานกลาง เป็นไม้กลางแจ้ง

Generalization
A deciduous tree 15-30 m high, dark brown bark is scaly. Shrub canopy is round orpointed cone. Young branches sparsely pubescent. Leaves alternate, oval leaves at the end of a protrusion or a bluff, dairy and small white flowers, white to pale yellow. A bouquet of leaves and the short end of the forked branches. Bloom during September to December.

Origin.
Dry evergreen forest and a large group at the foot of the hill slopes with good drainage.
