ลักษณะทั่วไป
เป็นไม้ยืนต้นขนาดกลางถึงขนาดใหญ่สูง 20–40 เมตร เรือนยอดเป็นพุ่มทึบทรงเจดีย์ต่ำๆ ลำต้นตรง เปลือกเรียบสีน้ำตาลเข้ม มีรอยด่างสีเทาและเหลืองสลับ มีต่อมระบายอากาศกระจายทั่วไป ตามยอดอ่อนและช่อดอกมีขนสีน้ำตาลปกคลุม ใบเป็นใบเดี่ยว รูปไข่ เนื้อใบหนา ปลายใบสอบเรียวหยักเป็นตุ่มยาว โคนใบมน หลังใบเรียบมัน ท้องใบมีขนสีน้ำตาลปนเหลืองเป็นกระจุก ดอกสีขาว ออกเป็นช่อยาวตามปลายกิ่งและง่ามใบ กลิ่นหอมอ่อนๆ กลีบรองดอก 5 กลีบ รูปหอกเรียว มีขนสั้นปกคลุม ออกดอกช่วงเดือนกรกฎาคม-ตุลาคม ผลเป็นผลแห้งทรงกลม มีขนนุ่มปีกขาว 1 คู่

Generalization
