ลักษณะทั่วไป
ปาล์มขนนกนี้เป็นปาล์มใบแหลมเล็กเป็นที่รู้จัก และนิยมปลูกกันมานานแล้วในประเทศไทย เพราะมี
รูปร่างทรวดทรงเหมาะที่จะปลูกประดับไว้ตามมุมห้องหรือข้างโต๊ะทำงานในออฟฟิศได้อย่างสบาย เป็น
พืชที่เจริญเติบ โตช้าและทนต่อความร่มเย็นภายในห้องหรืออาคารสถานที่ได้เป็นอย่างดี การปลูกเลี้ยง
จะต้องให้ถูกสายลม และแสงสว่างบ้าง แต่อย่าให้ถูกแสงแดดโดยตรง

การดูแลรักษา

• แสง     ชอบแสงสว่างมาก
• อุณหภูมิ  ชอบอุณหภูมิ ประมาณ 18- 22 องศาเซลเซียส 
• ความชื้น ต้องการความชื้นในอากาศบ้าง
• น้ำ  ควรให้น้ำอาทิตย์ละครั้ง การให้น้ำอย่าให้ถึงกับแฉะ 
• ดินปลูก   ดินร่วนผสมกับดินเหนียว 2 ส่วน ปุ๋ยหมักหรือปุ๋ยคอก 1 ส่วน ทรายหยาบ 1/2 ส่วน                                      เศษใบไม้ผุๆ 1 ส่วน
• ปุ๋ย   ให้ปุ๋ยการให้ปุ๋ยไม่ต้องบ่อยนัก 2-3 เดือนให้สักครั้งก็ได้
• กระถาง  เปลี่ยนกระถางทุกปีจนกว่าจะโตจนถึงขนาดย้ายลงปลูกในดิน 
• การขยายพันธุ์   เพาะเมล็ด
• โรคและแมลง  เพลี้ยหอย ส่วนโรคไม่ค่อยพบ
• การป้องกันกำจัด  ใช้ยาไซกอน (cygon) อัตรา 20 กรัม ผสมน้ำ 20 ลิตร รดให้ทั่วบริเวณโคนต้น  (กรณีต้นเล็กก็ควรลดปริมาณลงตามส่วน)
